Benefits of micronutrient testing
identifies nutrient deficiencies
identifies excess of nutrients
prevents increased risk of chronic diseases
At The Performance Lab, we offer micronutrient testing to help you take control of your health and wellness. Micronutrient testing is a simple blood test that provides detailed information about the levels of vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients in your body. With this information, our certified clinicians can create an individualized plan to ensure you are getting all the nutrients you need to reach your overall health and wellness goals.
Oftentimes, our clients will come to us with signs and symptoms of nutrient deficiencies. Some signs that you may need a micronutrient test we tend to see include:
Feeling tired or fatigued
Low energy levels
Difficulty sleeping
Poor digestion/gastrointestinal issues
Low immune system functioning
Poor concentration and focus
Hormonal imbalances
Once you decide to move forward with a micronutrient test at The Performance Lab, our certified clinicians will review your medical history and current lifestyle practices. We will then draw a small sample of blood to determine what nutrients are present in your system. After the results are complete, we will go over them in detail with you, explaining what each result means and how it impacts your overall health.
Based on the results, we will provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan that includes lifestyle changes, as well as specific dietary modifications tailored to meet your body’s individual needs. We may also recommend additional testing or treatments designed to correct any deficiencies and help you reach optimal health. Some examples of deficiencies we may see and our recommendations include:
Vitamin D Deficiency. Supplementation, increased sun exposure, and incorporating more salmon, swordfish, tuna fish, dairy/plant milk, and OJ can help increase levels of this essential vitamin.
Iron Deficiency. Supplementation, IV iron therapy, and incorporating more beans, seafood, red meat, and dark, leafy vegetables can help adjust levels of iron within the body.
Magnesium Deficiency. Adding more magnesium-rich foods such as pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, almonds, etc can help increase magnesium levels. Supplementation or IV therapy can also act as helpful solutions.

The frequency of micronutrient testing depends on individual health needs and conditions. Your healthcare provider can recommend the best schedule for you, but typically it might be done annually or when there are significant changes in health or diet.
After receiving your test results, it's important to consult with your healthcare provider or a nutritionist to interpret the results and create a personalized plan, which may include dietary changes, lifestyle modifications, and supplements.
Micronutrient testing is a low-risk procedure involving a standard blood draw. The primary risks are minor and include discomfort or bruising at the puncture site, similar to any routine blood test.
Unlike standard blood tests that measure things like blood cell counts and cholesterol levels, micronutrient tests specifically assess the levels of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in your body to determine if there are any deficiencies or imbalances.
For more information about micronutrient testing or to request a consultation, contact one of our two locations or visit our contact page.
At The Performance Lab, we understand that each individual is unique and requires a custom-made treatment plan to achieve their goals. Our team of experienced clinicians are dedicated to providing comprehensive care that is tailored to meet your specific needs.

"I was referred to the Performance Lab by two people for muscle tension, headaches, and arthritic pain. I have a membership for monthly massages and didn't think there would be much of a difference between the two but I was so wrong! Becky, Melissa, and Jordan have all treated me and I can’t say enough about how great they are! The treatment has done wonders for my headaches and I can’t imagine going anywhere else now!"

"Best place for physical therapy for back issues. My daughter missed a whole year of gymnastics due to back issues and we were recommended to the Performance Lab. She went twice a week for the whole year and was able to compete states, regionals and easterns without doing any meets for the entire year. Thank you Jordan for all that you did to help in getting her where she needed to be to compete."
